Who we are:

Volunteer Centre North Herts is part of North Herts Centre for Voluntary Service which was established in 1985 and has grown significantly since then.  It became a company limited by guarantee on 11 March 2003 and a registered charity on 3 June 2003. 

The Volunteer Centre is Quality Accredited by Volunteering England.

For Volunteers we provide:

A volunteering information service for people interested in volunteering - by personal visit, phone or email

Information on local voluntary opportunities - over 250 at any one time, so the choice is great!

1:1 confidential discussions with no pressure to make on the spot decisions

Team challenges for groups of people who would like a volunteering project e.g. for groups of employees from companies

Information on volunteer roles and responsibilities

Fact sheets e.g. volunteering whilst on state benefits

Occasional special events e.g. Volunteer Speed Matching
