Volunteer Centre in Three Rivers
Who we are:
The Volunteer Centre in Three Rivers is a service provided by Three Rivers CVS which was set up as a charity in Rickmansworth in 1997 to support voluntary, charitable and community groups in the district.
It is quality accredited by Volunteering England and is working towards level 2 PQASSO
The Centre is presently funded by the Big Lottery Basis Fund.
We are located in Basing House 46 High Street in between Watersmeet Theatre and the Library.

For Volunteers we provide:
- A volunteering information service for people interested in volunteering – by personal visit, telephone or email
- Information on local voluntary opportunities
- 1:1 confidential discussions with no pressure to make on the spot decisions
- Information on volunteer roles and responsibilities
- Fact sheets/leaflets e.g. volunteering whilst on state benefits
- Occasional special events e.g. Volunteer Speed Matching
- Team challenges for groups of people who would like a volunteering project e.g. for groups of employees from companies
For Organisations we provide:
- FREE advertising of voluntary opportunities on our local database and on www.do-it.org.uk
- Information and training on volunteer management – 6 Point Promise
- Skills Share project which matches people with professional skills with organisations that need specific help for a short term piece of work.
