There
are five things you can do to help increase the profile
of Volunteering in Herts:-
-
Join
the Valuing
Volunteers in Hertfordshire campaign!
By using the strap line on your web site, newsletters and
other promotional materials you can help promote Volunteering
throughout the county. (Font:Franklin Gothic Book - Bold /Italic.

-
Recognise
your volunteers for what they do.
By thanking your volunteers and giving them recognition for
the work they do you can help raise the awareness of volunteering
and what it means to be a volunteer.
-
Encourage
your volunteers to be ambassadors
Word of mouth is one of the best ways of recruiting new volunteers
so why not encourage your existing volunteers to promote volunteering
to their friends and family?
-
Help
signpost volunteers to local Volunteer Centres
Do you ever turn away volunteers from your organisation because
they do not meet your selection criteria or you do not have
a suitable role that is vacant? Do volunteers who have been
with you for some time need a change, or to move on? By signposting
them to their local Volunteer Centre you can help them find
an alternative volunteering position.
-
Encourage
your Local Strategic Partnership to engage in the Campaign
If you participate in your local strategic partnership make
sure this campaign features in discussions.
