Inspiration and Legacy from the London 2012 Games
It is anticipated that many people will develop an interest in volunteering as a result of the Olympics. Volunteering England and Youthnet are working with Volunteer Centres to encourage organisations to develop new and exciting voluntary opportunities to ensure this interest brings long term benefits to local organisations and communities.
How can your organisation get involved? You can start by creating London 2012 Games inspired opportunities. Volunteer Centres are particularly interested in developing opportunities for volunteering in arts, culture and environment with Hertfordshire groups and clubs. We are now able to tag opportunities that have been inspired by the Games and these opportunities will be highlighted on various websites including on the 25th Hour.
