Good practice in volunteer management

You may not think of yourself as a Volunteer Manager, but if you are the one in your organisation who looks after the volunteers, that's just what you are!
You may be a volunteer yourself, or be paid. The role will vary according to the size of the organisation but the basic skills required to recruit, select and support volunteers will be the same.

Volunteer Centres offer 1:1 support to managers of volunteers, so please contact your local Centre. Many Centres also run Volunteer Managers' Forums where you can share experiences and good practice tips with others, and hear from speakers on various topics.
